With direction from Jo Ann, the FOTC has established these goals:

1) Help to raise $28,000 for new ac/heat unit, which also accesses grant money available from the CIty’s Economic Development Department (EDD).

As of 6/20, one AC unit was rehabbed with a new installation completed for the other — The FOTC Fund paid for the rehab as well 60% of the new unit; Jo Ann covered the rest.

Our intent is to repay Jo Ann for the balance of the new unit and then address the heating component as the fall approaches. Note that the theater is now very cool!

2) Obtain Digital Projector with throw of 100ft (new or used)

The Cinema needs a digital projector in order to show many of the films that new directors are making; this is a particularly true for film festivals and the like. We would like to talk with anyone with exptertise and access in this area.

A new Sanyo digital projector was purchased and installed on Monday, 12/4, just in time for a digitally projected fundraiser, HumanKind, which played to a sold-out theater.

3) Roof repair, whether with current contractor or new.

Thanks to John Thomas Property Management, the roof has not only been repaired, but improved. John Trickey, JTPM’s owner, has continued on to help us with the repair of the Marquee, the soffits and the air conditioners. He has been a truly generous patron.
